The invention provides a floating bridge capable of being opened horizontally. The floating bridge is symmetrically arranged, and one side of the floating bridge sequentially comprises a fixed trestle section, a transition span bridge section and a movable floating bridge section; the fixed trestle section is fixed through a pier, and one end of the fixed trestle section is connected with a river bank through a bridge abutment; the transition span bridge section is connected between the fixed trestle section and the movable floating bridge section; an end fixing frame is arranged at the end of the movable floating bridge section, the end is connected with the transition span bridge section, fixation is performed through an anchoring assembly, and the movable floating bridge section is opened or closed through a driving device; and a middle gangplank is arranged between the movable floating bridge sections which are oppositely arranged, and the middle gangplank is rotatably connected to any one of the movable floating bridge sections. The floating bridge is simple in structure, low in operation and maintenance cost, high in adaptability and capable of meeting the requirement for multiple times of opening or closing of navigable water areas.
