The invention relates to the technical field of roof waterproof layer construction, and discloses a roof waterproof layer structure and a construction method thereof. The construction method comprises the following steps that S1, stainless steel plates are flatly laid on a roof; S2, the two stainless steel plates are bonded; S3, the stainless steel plates form a whole shielding body, and waterproof glue is poured on the whole shielding body; S4, stainless steel is laid around a vent pipe of the roof; S5, an outer stainless steel plate sleeves the peripheral surface of the vent pipe, and an inner stainless steel plate is also fixed in the vent pipe; S6, the inner stainless steel plate and the outer stainless steel plate of the vent pipe are connected; and S7, waterproof glue is poured on the surface of the outer stainless steel plate on the outer peripheral surface of the vent pipe. According to the roof waterproof layer structure and the construction method thereof, the stainless steel plates and the waterproof glue are adopted, the stainless steel plates are laid on the surface of the roof, and the waterproof glue is poured on the stainless steel plates, so that the whole shielding body formed by the stainless steel plates and the roof form a new whole body; and by the construction mode, the construction period is short, and the labor cost is reduced.
