The loop chain type lifting structure mainly composed of a hoist head, a cross loop chain, a clamping chain assembly and a driven wheel is installed on the side face of the scaffold; the hoist head and the driven wheel are connected to the upper end and the lower end of the scaffold correspondingly; the cross loop chain is connected between the hoist head and the driven wheel; and the clamping chain assembly is detachably fixed to the cross loop chain. When the scaffold is lifted, the clamping chain assembly is connected to the upper end of the cross loop chain, then the clamping chain assembly is fixed to a wall of a building, and then the meshing part of the hoist head and the cross loop chain is changed, so that the hoist head can drive the scaffold to ascend. When the scaffold is lifted next time, the clamping chain assembly is moved to the position corresponding to the cross loop chain, the chain does not need to be reversed, the whole loop chain type lifting structure does not need to be disassembled, and use is more convenient.
