The invention provides an enclosing and reinforcing method for reinforcing a wood structure building by applying a wood composite material. The method comprises the steps that the wood composite material is attached to the surface of a component of a building structure; finger joint connection is adopted in the fiber direction of the wood composite material; mortise connection is adopted in the vertical fiber direction of the wood composite material; annular tightening parts are annularly arranged on the outer surface of the wood composite material; the annular tightening parts are sequentially arranged in the fiber length direction of the wood composite material; wood wedges are annularly extruded into the outer surface of the wood composite material; the wooden wedges and the annular tightening parts are arranged at intervals in the fiber length direction of the wood composite material; and the wood composite material, the wooden wedges and the annular tightening parts form a surrounding and reinforcing system with an integral structure. The reinforcing method can be used for reinforcing building structures such as ancient wood building structures. According to the reinforcing method, bonding between the building structure and the original building structure is avoided, and secondary damage to the original building structure is prevented.
