The invention discloses a fabricated building steel structure roof and an assembling method. The fabricated building steel structure roof comprises a middle beam and side beams arranged on the left side and the right side of the middle beam in parallel; cover plates are erected between the middle beam and the side beams, one ends of the cover plates extend to the middle of the middle beam, and the other sides of the cover plates extend to the outer portions of the side beams and cover the side beams; elastic inhaul cables are arranged between the cover plates and the side beams in a matched mode, the side beams are right-angle side beams, and the vertical portions of the side beams and the cover plates are provided with elastic sealing assemblies in a matched mode; each of the front side face and the rear side face of each cover plate is provided with a convex edge part protruding upwards, when every two adjacent cover plates are matched, the convex edge parts make contact with each other, and a cover cap is arranged between the tops of the two convex edge parts in a matched mode; and the middle beam and the side beams are detachably matched with connecting rods. The device is high in sealing performance, and meanwhile strong wind impact can be relieved.
