The invention discloses a gypsum plaster board and a preparation method thereof.The gypsum plaster board comprises a board core, surface protection paper and a packaging film; the board core raw material contains an organic phase change material emulsion, and the packaging film is arranged on the surface of the surface protection paper to prevent the organic phase change material emulsion from diffusing out of the gypsum plaster board from the board core; the raw material of the packaging film is selected from any one or two of a PVC film with gum and a PP film with gum. The invention further provides a preparation method of the gypsum plaster board. On the basis of a conventional gypsum plaster board process, the organic phase-change material serves as one of wet materials of the gypsum plaster board in the form of emulsion, so that the problem that the hydrophobic organic phase-change material is difficult to dissolve in calcined gypsum slurry is solved, part of calcined gypsum hydration water can be replaced, and the characteristics of environmental protection and material saving are embodied.
