The water delivery trunk canal comprises an open type water delivery canal, an isolation device and a plurality of drainage assemblies; the open type water delivery canal comprises a bottom wall and two side walls, isolation platforms are arranged on the two sides of the open type water delivery canal, and maintenance planes are arranged on the isolation platforms; the isolation device comprises a first side wall, a second side wall and a ceiling with the two ends connected with the first side wall and the second side wall respectively; a metal isolation layer is installed on the side face, away from the open type water delivery canal, of the ceiling; and each drainage assembly comprises a water collecting pipe and two drainage pipes, the water collecting pipes are arranged on the metal isolation layer, one ends of the drainage pipes are connected with the water collecting pipes, and water outlets in the other ends of the drainage pipes are located on the sides, away from the open type water delivery canal, of the overhaul planes. The water delivery trunk canal can effectively prevent delivered water resources from being polluted by surface sources, meanwhile, the evaporation amount of the water resources is reduced, and the water delivery amount is increased.
