The greening structure comprises a base, a bearing box provided with an opening in the top, a root blocking box provided with an opening in the top, a growth substrate layer and a mud blocking layer, wherein the base is provided with a base bottom plate and a limiting plate; the bearing box is arranged on the base bottom plate through a sliding rail mechanism; the root blocking box is fixed to the interior of the bearing box, a plurality of first grooves are formed in the bottom face of the inner side of the root blocking box, and matched first through holes are formed in side plates; the growth substrate layer is made of a basalt rock wool board and is arranged in the root blocking box, and plants are planted in the growth substrate layer; and the mud blocking layer is arranged between the root blocking box and the growth substrate layer. According to the greening structure for the sloping roof, installation is simple, efficient and safer, in the whole process, the growth substrate layer and plants are always kept in a horizontal state, stress changes are uniform, the greening structure is not prone to being damaged, no harm is caused to a house, in addition, redundant liquid can be stored in an inner cavity of the bearing box, and therefore, the damage to the plants caused by excessive liquid is prevented.
