The protection frame comprises an operation platform, a handrail frame, a clamping mechanism, two supporting arms and two locking mechanisms. The handrail frame is arranged on the operation platform; the two supporting arms are arranged side by side and connected with the side walls of the two opposite sides of the operation platform in a one-to-one correspondence mode, and the two supporting arms extend towards one side of the operation platform and are in lap joint with the steel structure entity; the two locking mechanisms are arranged on the two supporting arms in a one-to-one correspondence mode, and each locking mechanism is used for being locked with a steel structure entity; and the clamping mechanism is arranged on the side wall of the operation platform, is arranged between the two supporting arms and is used for clamping a limb plate of the steel structure. According to the invention, the clamping mechanism is used for clamping the adjacent edge plate of the steel structure, the two supporting arms are in lap joint with the steel structure entity, and the two supporting arms and the steel structure entity are locked together through the two locking mechanisms, so that the construction and the operation are convenient, the cost is saved, the construction quality is ensured, and the frame can be repeatedly used.
