The invention discloses a newly-added leakage judgment and leakage rate estimation method suitable for a water supply pipe network in an underdeveloped area. The method comprises the steps of installing a boundary valve at the boundary of the area to realize the water supply closeness and independence of the area, and installing a flow meter on a main water supply pipeline to carry out real-time field monitoring on the water supply condition of the area; screening data samples according to seasonal differences and climate differences, carrying out mean value calculation and function fitting on the daily average water consumption of residents in the area, and taking the positive and negative 3-times standard deviation of a daily water consumption mean value curve of the residents as a boundary range; conducting comparison and analysis on newly acquired monitoring data and the boundary range, and reasonably judging whether the pipe network has newly-added leakage or not; and meanwhile, approximately using the minimum value of the water consumption of the residents as the leakage flow, calculating the pipeline leakage rate, and being capable of achieving real-time updating and correction of the leakage rate. The method is particularly suitable for the underdeveloped area where user water meters do not have automatic collection and transmission functions, the application range is wide, the implementation feasibility is high, the method is simple and efficient and has the broad engineering application prospect, and the social and economic benefits are remarkable.
