The invention discloses a mounting support for building a photovoltaic roof. The mounting support comprises a support body, wherein the support body extends in the front-back direction; the left side part of the support body protrudes upwards to form a first supporting part, the middle part of the support body protrudes upwards to form a reinforcing part, and the right side part of the support body protrudes upwards to form a second supporting part. The reinforcing part is lower than the first supporting part and the second supporting part; a first drainage groove is formed between the reinforcing part and the first supporting part, and a second drainage groove is formed between the reinforcing part and the second supporting part; and the lower end of the first supporting part is provided with a first turned-over edge which is turned over leftwards, and the lower end of the second supporting part is provided with a second turned-over edge which is turned over rightwards. The support body can be conveniently installed on a roof beam of a roof through the first turned-over edge and the secondturned-over edge arranged in the support, a ridge pedal and a photovoltaic panel can be conveniently installed through the first supporting part and the second supporting part, drainage is facilitated through the first drainage groove and the second drainage groove, and the reinforcing part is used for reinforcing the structural strength of the support body.
