The invention discloses a pitched roof photovoltaic system and a construction method thereof, and belongs to the field of distributed photovoltaic roofs. The pitched roof photovoltaic system is obliquely arranged and comprises a concrete roof panel, a thermal insulation layer, a wave-shaped drainage plate and a photovoltaic module which are sequentially laid from bottom to top. Drainage plate brackets are arranged below the wave-shaped drainage plate at intervals in the longitudinal direction in a supported manner and arranged on the lower surface of the wave crest position of the wave-shaped drainage plate in a supported manner.
