The invention discloses a detection device and method for rapidly detecting the compaction quality of a road. The method comprises the steps of firstly, determining a road structure layer to be subjected to the compaction quality detection, the road structure layer being a road structure layer for a field test or a road structure layer set for a laboratory test; then burying pressure sensors according to a certain interval, determining the model and working parameters of a road roller during construction operation, and installing an acceleration sensor; and finally, carrying out compaction operation according to set parameters, reading data of the pressure sensors and the acceleration sensor, and carrying out comparative analysis to determine the most accurate acceleration data, so as to realize accurate, rapid and continuous detection of the road compaction quality. According to the method, the precision of evaluating the road compaction quality can be greatly improved, and important technical support is provided for detecting the road compaction quality in the field test and the laboratory test.
