The invention relates to an overhanging type shed body and a building method thereof. The overhanging type shed body comprises wood beam overhanging frameworks, connecting cross beams, and a net-shaped connecting structure; one end of each wood beam overhanging framework in the length direction is connected with a supporting frame; the other end of each wood beam overhanging framework in the length direction is suspended; the connecting cross beams are arranged between the adjacent wood beam overhanging frameworks, and are fixedly connected with the wood beam overhanging frameworks; the net-shaped connecting structure comprises overhanging connecting pieces connected with the adjacent wood beam overhanging frameworks; and at least two adjacent overhanging connecting pieces are arranged in a staggered mode. By means of the connecting cross beams and the net-shaped connecting structure, the problem that the rigidity of an existing shed body composed of wood overhanging structures is insufficient can be effectively solved, lateral instability in the horizontal direction of the overhanging type shed body and vertical instability in the vertical direction of the shed body are prevented, and the overhanging type shed body can adapt to severe weather environments and geological disasters.
