The invention relates to hard inorganic fiber spraying cotton for buildings and a preparation method of the hard inorganic fiber spraying cotton. The preparation method comprises the steps of (1) preparing raw materials including industrial waste residues, rocks, rubber powder and cellulose; (2) putting the industrial waste residues and the rocks into a continuous melting furnace, and heating to a molten state; (3) guiding the rocks in the molten state into a thread throwing machine, and throwing out superfine mineral fiber cotton with the diameter less than 5 micrometers; (4) crushing the superfine mineral fiber cotton in a cotton tearing machine; (5) fully stirring and mixing the crushed superfine mineral fiber cotton, rubber powder and cellulose in a stirrer so as to enable the rubber powder and the cellulose to be adhered to the surface of the superfine mineral fiber cotton, thereby improving the strength of the superfine fiber cotton; and (6) drying the superfine fiber cotton treated in the step (5) to obtain the inorganic spraying cotton, and bagging the inorganic spraying cotton according to the weight. The method has the advantages of being low in manual participation degree, small in labor intensity, high in safety and stable in quality.
