The invention provides a frame-free modular cable-stayed self-unfolding operation system and method for an elevator with a machine room. The frame-free modular cable-stayed self-unfolding operation system comprises a main fixing base and two pieces of vertically-arranged main fixing channel steel. A self-unfolding platform frame is arranged in the main fixing base, a pedal rotating shaft is arranged on the inner end face of the self-unfolding platform frame, and a pedal is connected to the pedal rotating shaft. Lifting lugs are arranged at the front end of the self-unfolding platform frame; and horizontally-arranged fixing cross beams are correspondingly connected to the bottoms of the two pieces of main fixing channel steel, and the fixing cross beams press the top of the main fixing base. By arranging the main fixing base and the self-unfolding platform frame, the self-unfolding platform frame can be stretched outwards so as to use the width of the interior of an elevator shaft, and by arranging the lifting lugs at the front end of the self-unfolding platform frame, a steel rope fixed to the bottom of the machine room can be used for being hung at the lifting lugs to fix the front end of the self-unfolding platform frame; and the pedal and the pedal rotating shaft are arranged, so that the pedal can be rotated upwards during use, and a worker can place the steel rope of a traction machine and install a counterweight block conveniently.
