The invention provides a coupling mechanism capable of adjusting the elevation of a cross bar of a beam formwork support frame. The coupling mechanism comprises an axial buckling unit, a positioning bearing unit and a buckling unit, wherein the axial buckling unit is coaxial with a vertical rod and is fixedly arranged on the outer side surface of the vertical rod; the axial buckling unit is a cylinder which is open at two ends and hollow inside; the inner wall of the axial buckling unit is matched with the outer side surface structure of the vertical rod; the positioning bearing unit comprises a horizontal supporting plate connected to the side wall of the axial buckling unit; and a buckling through hole is formed in the horizontal supporting plate. Through reasonable arrangement of the component structure, the horizontal supporting plate is fixed at the specified height of the vertical rod by the axial buckling unit, and the cross bar is connected through the buckling unit and is matched with the buckling through hole in the horizontal supporting plate, so that the cross bar is stably connected and fixed to the vertical rod, potential safety hazards in the traditional scheme are avoided, and the coupling mechanism is simple in overall structure, simple and convenient to operate and high in stability.
