The invention provides a colored sand decorative plate as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The colored sand decorative plate comprises a base layer, a hot melting coating, a colored sand layer and a finish paint layer which are sequentially arranged; and the colored sand of the colored sand layer is embedded into a hot melting resin layer. According to the colored sand decorative plate, the hot melting coating is selected to be matched with the colored sand layer, the colored sand in the colored sand layer is embedded into the hot melting resin layer; on the basis of the characteristics that the hot melting coating is free of solvent, high in bonding strength and good in low-temperature flexibility and has certain bonding force without baking, the colored sand layer can be directly laid after the hot melting coating coats the colored sand layer, working time is saved, a large number of air holes cannot be generated due to baking, the colored sand decorative plate without the air holes is finally obtained; the color of the colored sand can be fully shown, so that the decoration performance is greatly improved; and the colored sand decorative plate further has high flexibility, excellent pollution resistance and long service life.
