The roadblock comprises a lifting assembly, a monitoring system and a control system, the lifting assembly is electrically connected with the control system, and a pressure monitoring plate is electrically connected with the control system; the monitoring system monitors a coming vehicle and sends a coming vehicle electric signal to the control system, and the control system controls the lifting assembly to extend through the electric signal. Whether the vehicle comes in front of the lifting assembly or not is monitored through the monitoring system, so that whether the lifting assembly needs to be lifted or not is judged, when the monitoring system monitors the coming vehicle, the electric signal transmitted to the control system, the control system controls the lifting assembly to be lifted and stops the coming vehicle, the monitoring system judges whether the coming vehicle is an external vehicle or not by monitoring a license plate, and then whether the vehicle is released or not is judged. The monitoring of the coming vehicle is improved; meanwhile, the lifting roadblock descends when no vehicle comes at ordinary times, and the situation that the attractiveness of a building doorway is affected by the lifting roadblock can be avoided.
