The invention discloses a road culvert reinforcing system and a construction method thereof. The road culvert reinforcing system comprises two reinforcing units. The two reinforcing units are the same in structure and are symmetrically arranged at the front end and the rear end of the existing culvert. Each reinforcing unit comprises a strip-shaped foundation, a plurality of structural columns and a longitudinal structural beam; the strip-shaped foundation is arranged at the end of a base of an existing culvert in parallel, the multiple structural columns are vertically arranged above the strip-shaped foundation in parallel, and the structural columns are tightly attached to the end of a vertical wall of the existing culvert. The longitudinal structural beams are horizontally arranged between every two adjacent structural columns, first bridging pieces are arranged at the tops of the longitudinal structural beams, and the first bridging pieces are arranged in the width direction of a top plate of the existing culvert in a full-length mode; a second bridging piece is arranged at the bottom of the longitudinal structural beam, and the top face of the second bridging piece is tightly attached to the bottom face of the top plate of the existing culvert. On the basis that the bearing capacity of the existing culvert structure is fully utilized, a new load transmission path is established, the force transmission path is clear, and the bearing capacity of the existing culvert structure is effectively improved.
