The invention discloses a connecting assembly and a connecting method. The connecting assembly comprises a shock insulation support, a steel column and a plurality of connecting devices. The shock insulation support comprises an upper support, a lower support and a shock insulation pad, and the shock insulation pad is located between the upper support and the lower support. The steel column comprises a supporting column and a mounting plate connected to the supporting column, and a first connecting hole is formed in the mounting plate. Each connecting device comprises a connecting piece and an adjusting piece arranged on the connecting piece in a sleeving mode, wherein the connecting piece is connected to the upper support and penetrates through the first connecting hole, the diameter of the connecting piece is smaller than that of the first connecting hole, the connecting piece supports the mounting plate, and the adjusting piece can move up and down to adjust the height and/or angle of the steel column. According to the connecting assembly and the connecting method, the mounting posture of the steel column is adjusted through the adjusting pieces to improve the mounting precision, the steel column is made to be perpendicular to the shock insulation pad in the shock insulation support, the shock insulation pad is prevented from being subjected to bending moment, thus the service life of the shock insulation support is prolonged, and the construction time is saved.
