The invention discloses a preparation method of a porous ceramic material for filtering high-temperature flue gas, and belongs to the technical field of porous ceramics. The preparation method comprises the following steps: weighing magnesium oxide, aluminum oxide and silicon oxide powder according to the stoichiometric ratio of cordierite, ball-milling and drying to obtain first ceramic powder; carrying out ball milling on the first ceramic powder, a fluxing agent and a pore forming agent, and drying to obtain second ceramic powder; and mixing the second ceramic powder with a binder, and carrying out dry pressing molding and high-temperature calcination to obtain the porous ceramic material for filtering high-temperature flue gas. According to the preparation method, the sintering temperature of the porous ceramic can be effectively reduced, the production cost is reduced, and the filtering resistance is reduced.
