The invention discloses a road rammer for civil engineering. The road rammer comprises a ramming assembly and a walking assembly. The ramming assembly comprises a handrail rod, a supporting bottom plate, a first motor, a connecting rod, a first rotating shaft, an eccentric block, a first grooved wheel, a second grooved wheel and a first belt; wherein the handrail rod is connected to one side of the supporting bottom plate; the connecting rod is fixedly connected to the upper portion of the supporting bottom plate. The first rotating shaft is rotationally connected to the upper portion of the supporting bottom plate. The connecting rod and the first rotating shaft are parallel to each other and are horizontally arranged; the first grooved wheel is coaxially and rotatably arranged on the connecting rod in a sleeving manner; the eccentric block is connected to the eccentric part of the first grooved wheel; and the second grooved wheel is coaxially and fixedly arranged on the first rotating shaft in a sleeving manner. The road rammer for civil engineering provided by the invention is provided with the walking assembly, so that the rammer can be transferred when ramming is not carried out, manual carrying is not needed any more, and more time and labor are saved.
