The invention discloses a control method and device for a multi-pump parallel water supply unit. In the multi-pump parallel water supply unit, each pump is provided with an integrated permanent magnet synchronous motor, and the integrated permanent magnet synchronous motor integrates a motor, a variable frequency driver, a controller, a human-computer interface and a communication module into a whole; the memory data of a controller of each integrated permanent magnet synchronous motor is logically divided into two parts, one part is a shared data block which stores operation process parameters of the multi-pump parallel water supply unit and the operation state of the unit, and the controller of the integrated permanent magnet synchronous motor of each pump can be read; and the other part is a private data block which is used for storing private data of the local machine and is not shared by other integrated permanent magnet synchronous motors. A new master control pump can be selected only when the master control pump breaks down or communication is interrupted, so that the unnecessary water pump alternation frequency is reduced; control parameter set values can be shared and modified in real time among multiple pumps; all pumps in the unit can adopt different powers and models, and the configuration of the unit is flexible.
