The invention relates to a construction method of carbon fiber inhaul cables. The construction method comprises the steps: (1) preparing the carbon fiber inhaul cables; (2) traction of the inhaul cables: (2.1) calculating the traction force of the inhaul cables: according to the length of the inhaul cables and the distance L0 between the upper end and the lower end of the inhaul cables, namely the center of an anchor bearing plate of the tower end and the center of an anchor bearing plate of the beam end, when the traction force is estimated to be T, enabling the distance [delta]L between the lower end of the inhaul cables and the anchor bearing plate of the beam end to be equal to L0-L+([omega]2LX2L0)/(24T2)-TL/AE, and before construction, according to cable force provided by bridge design and related technical parameters of the inhaul cables: L0, omega, L, LX, A and E, determining the number of soft traction carbon fiber bundles and the reserved length according to the relation between traction force T and [delta]L when anchor cup nuts are just rotated to be flat on the end faces of anchor cups when each pair of inhaul cables are tensioned; (2.2) releasing the inhaul cables; (2.3) hanging cables on a bridge tower; (2.4) hanging a cable at the beam end; and (2.5) carrying out temporary anchoring in the tower; (3) tensioning; and (4) adjusting the cable. The invention provides the construction method of the carbon fiber inhaul cables. Technical guidance is provided for application of a carbon fiber composite material in bridge engineering.
