The invention discloses a method for constructing an abrupt slope of a photovoltaic power station. The method comprises the following steps: S01, building a slope-to- terrace on the side face of a slope; S02, arranging n stand column foundations on the upper surface of the slope-to-terrace in the length direction of the slope-to-terrace, wherein n is a positive integer larger than or equal to 2; S03, mounting a stand column on each stand column foundation; S04, mounting cross arms on the stand columns, wherein the cross arms on the stand columns are parallel to one another; S05, connecting tensioning cables, fixedly connecting the ends of the m tensioning cables to the cross arms at the two ends of the slope-to-terrace correspondingly and tensioning the same, wherein the tensioning cables between any two adjacent cross arms are parallel to each other and located on the same plane, and the middles of the tensioning cables are connected to the cross arms between the cross arms at the two ends of the slope-to-terrace in a hung mode; and S06, mounting photovoltaic panels on the m tensioning cables and distributing the photovoltaic panels in the length direction of the tensioning cables. The problems that in the prior art, either the contradiction between small power generation loss and string loss exists, or engineering construction is difficult, and potential safety hazards are large are solved.
