The invention discloses a preparation method for synthesizing flexible stone from sedimentary rock imitating resin cohesive stone powder. The sedimentary rock is sandstone and comprises the following raw materials in percentage: 80% of natural colored sand, 10% of clay, 5% of a flowing material and 5% of a stone powder adhesive; or the sedimentary rock is shale and comprises the following raw materials in percentage: 80% of a mixture of natural stone powder, iron oxide powder and mica powder, 10% of clay, 5% of a flowable material and 5% of a stone powder adhesive. The preparation method comprises the following steps of material mixing, nature-imitating forming, bottom treatment, stripping treatment and surface layer treatment. The flexible stone prepared through the preparation method is natural in surface layer and clear and natural in line and has the high natural stone effect and the stone pattern effect.
