The invention provides a method suitable for regreening of a high and steep slope of a rural area, and belongs to the technical field of plant propagation. The method comprises the following steps: filling planting bags with a matrix and loess with the PH value of less than 6.5; arranging the planting bags in a point shape along the steep slope at intervals and anchoring the planting bags to the soil steep slope through iron nails; watering and wetting the planting bags, diluting an adhesive in proportion, and smearing the surface layers of the planting bags with the adhesive; trimming melastoma dodecandrum into small branches with 2-3 stem nodes in each section, and evenly scattering and sowing the small branches on the surface layers of the planting bags; covering the planting bags with a non-woven fabric, and turning over the non-woven fabric one month after survival and sprouting; and carrying out planting in a point shape until the plants grow into patches and are fully distributed on steep slope. The plant melastoma dodecandrum serves as a main body, a light matrix and a geotechnical material serve as grass blanket planting soil and a structural carrier, and the high-steep-slope pioneer ground cover plant grass blanket is manufactured through introduction and artificial propagation. The grass blanket can form a local plant target population in a short time. The grass blanket can effectively treat water and soil loss, landslide and vegetation degradation, improve slope stability and improve ecological self-healing capacity.
