The invention discloses a spinel refractory material for a cement kiln. The spinel refractory material is prepared from the following raw materials: magnesium aluminate spinel with the particle size of 8-5mm, magnesium aluminate spinel with the particle size of 5-3mm, magnesium aluminate spinel with the particle size of 3-1mm, magnesium aluminate spinel with the particle size of 1-0.088 mm, magnesium aluminate spinel with the particle size of 0.088-0.02 mm, magnesium aluminate spinel with the particle size of less than 0.02 mm, hercynite with the particle size of 5-3mm, hercynite with the particle size of 3-1mm, hercynite with the particle size of 1-0mm, superfine magnesia powder, alpha-alumina micro powder, silica fume, silicon nitride, zirconium carbonate, zirconium oxide, a water reducing agent, an additive and water, wherein the additive is a mixture of titanium dioxide, erbium oxide, yttrium oxide and aluminum powder. The spinel refractory material for the cement kiln is high in strength, good in erosion resistance, high in thermal shock resistance and long in service life.
