The invention discloses a trigger type electronic lock cylinder and a key. The electronic lock cylinder comprises a lock shell, a lock container, a key hole, a locking device and an electric control component, and the locking device comprises a locking trigger assembly and a locking execution assembly. The key comprises a holding part and a tooth part, the tooth part is provided with teeth matched with a first lower bead, an opening groove is formed in the tooth part in the key inserting direction, and the teeth are located at the bottom of the opening groove. When a non-adaptive key, namely an illegal key or a foreign matter is inserted into the lock container, the first upper bead can be jacked to the position where the first contact switch can be triggered, then the electric control component sends an instruction to the locking component, the locking component downwards presses the corresponding upper bead or directly extends out of the telescopic rod of the locking component, the upper bead or the telescopic rod is inserted into the lock container or a linkage piece linked with the lock container, so that the whole lock enters a locking state and cannot be unlocked before the locking state is eliminated, illegal unlocking of lawbreakers is effectively prevented, the safety of the lock is greatly improved, and the purpose of preventing illegal key unlocking is achieved.
