The invention discloses an electric glove box capable of being unlocked in power failure. The electric glove box comprises a box back plate, a central control unit, a driving motor, a telescopic transmission mechanism, a power failure unlocking unit and a box hopper body. The telescopic transmission mechanism is installed on the back face of the box back plate and composed of two spring bolt connecting rods symmetrically arranged in the horizontal direction and an intermediate gear, spring bolts matched with lock grooves in the side face of the box hopper body are arranged at the outer ends of the spring bolt connecting rods, return springs are arranged between the middle sections of the spring bolt connecting rods and the box back plate, and racks are arranged at the outer ends of the spring bolt connecting rods. The racks at the inner ends of the two spring bolt connecting rods are oppositely arranged and are meshed and connected with the intermediate gear at the same time; the central control unit is in signal connection with the driving motor; the output end of the driving motor is butted with the spring bolt at the outer end of the spring bolt connecting rod on one side; the power failure unlocking unit is in butt joint with the spring bolt connecting rod on the other side. The glove box is opened through electric operation of the central control unit, the problems existing in a traditional single mechanical opening mechanism are avoided, and manual unlocking is achieved under the condition of power failure.
