The preparation method of the rammed earth material comprises the following steps: mixing the clay, the granite, the sand, the lime slurry and the sawdust powder according to the proportion, and uniformly stirring to obtain the rammed earth material. The invention further discloses application of the rammed earth material in manufacturing of the light rammed earth wall, and a manufacturing method of the light rammed earth wall sequentially comprises the steps of formwork erecting, pouring, formwork removing, maintaining and plastering. The rammed earth material is suitable for light rammed earth walls and has good cohesiveness, heat preservation and insulation performance, sound insulation and noise prevention performance and pressure resistance.
