The invention relates to a vertical face curtain wall system and method of a dense-column string aluminum alloy grid structure. The curtain wall system comprises a plurality of supporting columns arranged on the edge of the string aluminum alloy grid structure in a supported mode, wherein a connecting rod is connected between every two adjacent supporting columns in a supported mode; a curtain wall plate which covers the outer side surfaces of the supporting columns; auxiliary frames which are arranged on the inner side of the curtain wall plate, correspond to the supporting column and are fixedly connected with the supporting columns; a clamp assembly installed on the connecting rod, wherein the side portion, opposite to the connecting rod, of the curtain wall plate is clamped through the clamp assembly; and a sealing layer embedded at the joint between the two adjacent curtain wall plates. The supporting columns serve as the installation foundation of the curtain wall plate and also serves as support of the string aluminum alloy grid structure, construction procedures can be saved, and therefore construction efficiency is improved. The outer contour of each supporting column is square, the curtain wall plates can be shielded as little as possible, and therefore the light transmittance is improved, the requirement for high light transmittance of a building is met, and the appearance effect of the building is good.
