The invention discloses a truss translation device and a truss mounting method.The truss translation device comprises a truss main body and supporting frame bodies vertically connected to the two ends of the truss main body, and each supporting frame body comprises a supporting bottom beam, a first supporting column, a second supporting column and walking rollers, the two ends of the supporting bottom beam are fixedly connected with the lower end of the first supporting column and the lower end of the second supporting column respectively, the upper end of the first supporting column and the upper end of the second supporting column are connected in an inverted-V shape, walking idler wheels are arranged at the bottom of the supporting bottom beam, and one or more hoisting points are arranged on the lower side of the truss body, an electric hoist is arranged on each hoisting point. The steel truss translation device is used for splicing the truss bodies one by one from the initial position of the truss bodies according to the sequence formulated by the scheme and then translating the truss bodies to the installation position to be installed in place.
