The invention relates to building construction equipment, in particular to a building construction area safety fence device and an installation method thereof. A first lantern ring is arranged on the edge of one side of a main fence plate, and a second lantern ring staggered with the first lantern ring in the vertical direction is arranged on the edge of the other side of the main fence plate; a penetrating groove is formed in the first lantern ring in the direction facing the second lantern ring, a movable groove is formed in the second lantern ring in the direction deviating from the first lantern ring, and a columnar part is arranged on one side of an auxiliary fence plate. The first lantern ring and the second lantern ring are arranged in the vertical direction in a staggered mode, and therefore the first lantern ring on the side edge of one main fence plate and the second lantern ring on the side edge of the other main fence plate in every two adjacent main fence plates can be clamped with each other. The auxiliary fence plate is limited through the penetrating groove, so that the auxiliary fence plate cannot rotate around the first lantern ring or the second lantern ring; every two adjacent main fence plates can deflect around the columnar part on one side of the corresponding auxiliary fence plate around the clamping position of the two adjacent main fence plates; the included angle between every two adjacent main fence plates is adjustable.
