The invention relates to an inertia wheel type anti-falling device which comprises a support body, an anti-toppling wheel set, a guide rail, a supporting device and an anti-falling mechanism, the whole support body is movably installed on the guide rail through the anti-toppling wheel set, and relative swing between the support body and the guide rail is prevented through an anti-swing block; the anti-falling mechanism comprises a main body plate, an anti-falling guide rail, a rotating wheel hinged to the main body plate through a rotating shaft, a blocking block fixed to the main body plate and a blocking needle, a plurality of straight teeth are evenly distributed on the side wall, close to one side of the main body plate, of the anti-falling guide rail, and outer teeth matched with the anti-falling guide rail are evenly distributed on the outer ring of the rotating wheel; a plurality of sliding grooves in a circumferential array are formed in the inner ring of the rotating wheel in a penetrating mode, and the blocking needles are arranged in the sliding grooves; when the support body rapidly falls, the clamping and blocking needle slides to the end of the sliding groove under the action of centrifugal force, rotates along with the sliding groove under the action of inertia, enters the clamping groove and blocks rotation of the rotating wheel, and therefore falling prevention is achieved.
