The invention provides a barrier wall. A column body comprises filler and continuous, complete and compact calcium carbonate columns filled in pores of the filler; and the permeability coefficient of the column body is below 10 <-9 > cm/s. The invention further provides a building method of the barrier wall, the barrier wall is the barrier wall, and the building method of the barrier wall comprises the following steps that holes are drilled, and the holes are filled with filler; slowly spraying a bacterial solution into the pores of the filler, then injecting a calcium ion solution, and standing until the permeability coefficient of the column is below 10 <-9 > cm/s; sealing a drilling hole opening; and the steps are cycled, so that the multiple columns are connected to form the barrier wall.
