The invention relates to a construction method of a steel constructional column wrapped with prefabricated building blocks, which comprises the following steps of: 1) processing a square tube and reinforcing steel bars in a factory, and welding U-shaped steel pieces on two sides of the square tube; (2) pre-embedding or post-arranging a flat embedded plate on a floor slab on a construction site; (3) square pipes are vertically welded between the bottom of the steel structure beam and the flat buried plate; (4) the square pipe is wrapped with two prefabricated building blocks, mortar is smeared in grooves of the prefabricated building blocks to be bonded with the square pipe, and mortar is smeared on the matched faces of the two prefabricated building blocks; (5) the steel bars slide in along the upper ends of the U-shaped steel pieces, and the steel bars are arranged in the radial direction of the square pipe; and (6) a mortar layer is laid, the steel bars are buried in the mortar layer, an upper layer of prefabricated building blocks are built, and the operation is repeated. The construction method of the steel constructional column externally wrapped with the prefabricated building blocks has the advantages that the process is simple, construction is rapid, and wet operation in the constructional column process is greatly reduced.
