The invention discloses a concrete gelling accelerator as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The accelerator comprises the following preparation raw materials in parts by weight: 50-80 parts of a composite admixture, 15-35 parts of a composite modifier and 5-15 parts of a reinforcing agent, the composite admixture is prepared from lithium slag powder, metakaolin and a grinding aid; the composite modifier is composed of cement clinker and an exciting agent. A concrete material prepared by using the concrete gelling accelerator disclosed by the invention is good in working performance, the compressive strength is improved by 10%-20%, and the concrete strength is obviously enhanced.
