The invention provides a moisture adjusting system and a moisture adjusting method for garden fruit tree planting, and belongs to the technical field of fruit tree planting. The moisture adjusting system can be switched to an umbrella folding state when no rain exists, so that garden fruits and trees can fully receive light to complete photosynthesis; when it rains and the rainfall is small, the umbrella can be switched to a semi-open umbrella state, so that the first umbrella cover and the second umbrella cover form a funnel-shaped structure to collect rainwater, and the collected rainwater is stored in a rainwater collecting device arranged below a funnel, so that the collected rainwater is supplemented to fruit trees according to needs in rainy days, and water resources are saved; when there is rain and the rainfall is large, the umbrella can be switched to a full-open umbrella state, so that the first umbrella cover and the second umbrella cover form a conical structure to cover the fruit tree to achieve the rain shielding effect, meanwhile, the rainwater landing point is guided and changed, and it is avoided that soil around the fruit tree absorbs too much water to affect growth of the fruit tree. When the umbrella is opened, the umbrella cover and the umbrella ribs are unfolded from top to bottom, and the risk that branches are damaged when fruit trees are covered is avoided.
