The invention relates to a totally-enclosed foundation pit water stopping system and a construction method thereof.The totally-enclosed foundation pit water stopping system comprises a plurality of rows of secant piles which are arranged in a design area of a foundation pit and cover the design area of the foundation pit, every two adjacent secant piles are arranged in an engaged mode, and the bottom elevation of the secant piles is lower than that of the foundation pit; the waterproof curtain structure is arranged around the design area of the foundation pit, and the bottom elevation of the waterproof curtain structure is lower than that of the foundation pit. According to the method, the foundation pit is formed by digging out the part, located in the foundation pit range, of the secant pile, the remaining part of the secant pile forms a bottom sealing and water stopping structure, and underground water is effectively prevented from permeating into the foundation pit from the bottom of the foundation pit.
