The using method comprises the following steps of left side preliminary positioning, left side final positioning, left datum point determining, right side preliminary positioning, right side final positioning, right datum point determining and chord member top plate datum line drawing. The problems that an existing wire returning method and tool are not high in precision and complex and time-consuming in operation are solved. The line returning precision and efficiency are improved, and the line returning device can be flexibly suitable for line returning of various types of chord members; the device is reasonable in structure, light in self weight and convenient to use, hold and carry.
