The thermal insulation mortar is prepared by adopting crushing, grinding and forward and reverse stirring modes, the particle uniformity of the prepared thermal insulation mortar is effectively ensured, the later use quality of the thermal insulation mortar is ensured, meanwhile, slag is adopted to replace part of cement to serve as a cementing material, recycling of industrial waste is achieved, and the production cost is reduced. The utilization rate of resources is increased, and the slag has relatively high potential activity, so that the strength of the thermal insulation mortar after use is greatly improved.
