The collector comprises an electric propeller used for pushing the collector to advance; the electric power unit is used for providing electric power for the electric propeller; the collecting unit can float on the water surface, the middle of the collecting unit is concave inwards to form a groove, and the front portion and the top of the collecting unit are provided with a front opening and an upper opening which penetrate to the groove; the collecting basket is placed in the groove and can be taken out from the upper opening; the collecting basket comprises a basket, a containing groove is formed in the basket, the front face of the basket is open to form a front face opening, and a plurality of meshes are formed in the basket. The collector can automatically intercept and collect garbage on the water surface in the collecting basket, is compact and simple in structure and convenient to operate, and effectively reduces the labor intensity of workers; when garbage collected in the collector is cleaned, only the collecting basket needs to be independently taken out from the upper opening of the collecting unit, operation is more convenient, and efficiency is higher.
