The invention relates to the technical field of side slope protection, in particular to a side slope protection system, which comprises a protection module, which comprises a rigid support frame and a protection layer arranged outside the rigid support frame, and at least part of the rigid support frame is exposed out of the protection layer; the connecting pieces are suitable for connecting the two adjacent protection modules, and the multiple protection modules are connected into a whole through the connecting pieces; and the anchor rod is suitable for penetrating through the rigid support frame to expose the part of the protective layer and is inserted into the side slope. The protection layer is used for protecting the internal rigid supporting frame made of the metal material, the rigid supporting frame is isolated from moisture in air, and the situation that the rigid supporting frame is rusted and corroded, and consequently the supporting strength is reduced is avoided. Meanwhile, most of the connecting pieces made of the metal materials are located in the protective layer, the protective layer also protects the connecting pieces, and therefore the defect that in the prior art, a protective device is prone to rusting and corrosion when exposed in air for a long time and making contact with water is overcome.
