The invention provides a sodium ion solid electrolyte ceramic material with a modified NASICON type structure, the chemical general formula of the ceramic material is Na < 3 + x + y > Zr < 2-x > Sc < x > Si < 2 + y > P < 1-y > O < 12 >, x is more than 0 and less than or equal to 0.3, y is more than 0 and less than or equal to 0.2, the conductivity of the ceramic material is 0.7 * 10 <-3 > S/cm to 1.6 * 10 <-3 > S/cm, and the ceramic material has a C2/2 monoclinic phase structure, keeps the diversification of sodium ion transmission channels, and has relatively high sodium ion transmission capability. The invention also provides a preparation method of the ceramic material and application of the ceramic material in preparation of an all-solid-state sodium battery.
