The invention provides a tower type material distributing machine which comprises a tower body, a balance arm and a material distributing arm, and a tower head is installed on the top of the tower body; the balance arm and the material distribution arm are installed on the two sides of the tower head and rotate in the horizontal plane relative to the tower body through a second rotation assembly, the material distribution arm comprises a first arm section and a plurality of secondary arm sections which are sequentially connected end to end through a first rotation assembly, and the first rotation assembly can drive the next arm section to rotate in the horizontal plane relative to the previous arm section; and the end part of the balance arm is provided with a balance weight for balancing the bending moment of the distribution arm. The balance weight is arranged at the left end of the balance arm to balance part of the bending moment of the material distribution arm, and the material distribution radius of the tower type horizontal variable-amplitude material distribution machine can be effectively increased; and the first rotary assembly is adopted to drive the next arm section to rotate relative to the previous arm section, so that the material distribution requirements in different ranges in the horizontal plane can be met.
