A lower-layer parking space formed between an upper-layer parking space plate of the double-layer stereo garage and the ground below the upper-layer parking space plate is used for parking lower-layer vehicles, and an oil cylinder drives an L-shaped hook arm to rotate so as to drive a movable vehicle carrying platform hinged to a connecting arm to move between the ground and the top of the upper-layer parking space plate; when the double-layer stereo garage is used, a vehicle runs to the vehicle carrying plate to be parked, then the oil cylinder drives the L-shaped hook arm to drive the movable vehicle carrying platform and the vehicle parked on the movable vehicle carrying platform to move to the top of the upper-layer parking space plate, two vehicles can be stored in one parking space through the double-layer stereo garage, and parking and taking of the vehicles on the lower-layer parking space and the vehicle carrying plate are not affected mutually; vehicles on the two layers do not need to avoid each other.
