The invention discloses a water control method for a coal mine coal face. The water control method comprises the following steps that S01, a haulage roadway, an air return roadway and an open-off cut roadway of a stope face are excavated, and working face equipment is arranged; s02, freezing holes are drilled in the water source boundary of the top plate and the bottom plate along a coal face haulage roadway or an air return roadway; s03, freezing pipelines and freezing equipment are arranged; and S04, starting the freezing equipment to form a top plate freezing circle layer. The problems that in the prior art, controllability is poor, or drainage is difficult, and the operation period is long are solved.
