The invention relates to an alumina-based refractory castable for a molten steel treatment spray gun, which comprises the following components in percentage by weight: 40-60% of secondary high-alumina bauxite, 25-45% of fused corundum, 3-8% of kyanite, 3-8% of alumina micro powder, 0-3% of pure calcium aluminate cement, 1-5% of silica powder, 2-7% of rho alumina or aluminum gel, 1-5% of steel fiber and 0.1-0.4% of water reducing agent. The thermal shock resistance of the castable is remarkably improved, so that the service life of a spray gun is prolonged, and the cost of the castable is greatly reduced.
